360 Program

We're so happy you're here!

About Us

The 360 Program provides holistic, one-on-one support to participating cohorts of first-generation and/or Pell-eligible students in all aspects of their college experience, including but not limited to academic transitions, financial planning, career readiness, social engagement, and wellness.

We are currently invitation-only and serve first-year students who have selected majors within the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, or the College of Education and Health Professions.

Although the 360 Program does not accept new students through referrals, 360 instructors are a resource for all 360 students (including sophomores, juniors, and seniors). Please don't hesitate to reach back out to us!

Program Benefits

The 360 Program provides support in collaboration with existing services on campus, including faculty, financial aid advisors, housing, and more. While our 360 Instructors often act as holistic coaches for their cohorts, Instructors also serve as a supplement to a student's academic advisor and help guide them on course enrollment and degree completion. To provide opportunity beyond the first semester, the 360 Program also gives participating students the chance to apply for a Peer Mentor position, a paid and Work Study eligible role, in the Spring.

An assigned 360 Program faculty advisor/instructor who will teach program participants in said University Perspectives course and meet with them regularly throughout their first year.

An assigned 360 Program peer mentor who will meet with each of their mentees one-on-one throughout their first semester to provide them with support from the perspective of a fellow student.

Consideration for a scholarship intended to assist in covering the cost of their required textbooks.

  • 360 Student Testimonies

"With nearly 35,000 students on campus, the transition to college can feel overwhelming. You’re suddenly navigating a massive new world – homesick, missing the comfort of home, and learning to put yourself out there – all at once. The 360 Program offered something different: a genuine 'come as you are' space where you didn’t have to pretend to have it all figured out. It became my home away from home.

What makes the program so powerful is the community it builds. Placing students from diverse cultural backgrounds in the same room sparks meaningful conversations—encouragement across every part of life, practical advice for everyday challenges, and always a listening ear that truly hears you.

I started as a typical unsuspecting freshman, unsure why my UNIV class felt so different from everyone else’s. Then I was matched with my mentor, Taylor, and immediately saw the advantage I had over peers outside the program. Her guidance inspired me to pay it forward: the following year, I became a mentor myself. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a lead mentor, overseeing two new mentors each fall semester. Guiding them, encouraging, validating, and empowering them, has given me a whole new appreciation for the program."
