FAQ

What is Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is a martial art that originated in ancient Korea and has grown into a modern Olympic sport. As a club we practice both traditional techniques and Olympic-style competitive sparring.

Do I need prior experience to join?

Nope! Our club is open to all experience levels, whether it's your first day or your 100th. Many of our members started practicing Taekwondo for the first time with us.

I have a busy schedule and can’t make all the practices; can I still participate?

Yes! You can come as many times as you'd like. The more often you practice, though, the faster your skills will progress.

What should I wear? What should I bring?

You can wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring your water bottle. Once you join, you'll be provided with more gear.

Does the club require dues?

Yes; dues are $40/semester. Dues include 6 practices a week every week, plus your own Taekwondo gear to keep.

When and where are practices?

We practice Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. We always meet in the Arkansas Union. We'll post specific room numbers in GroupMe:
