About Us

The Science Education Network (SEN) at the University of Arkansas expands access to high-quality science learning across Northwest Arkansas by connecting trained UARK student educators with local schools and community partners. Our volunteers design and deliver curriculum-aligned instruction sessions, small-group tutoring, and competition coaching (Science Olympiad, etc), with a focus on chemistry and biology.

Members Benefits

Membership in the Science Education Network offers students the chance to develop real teaching and mentoring experience, strengthen communication and leadership skills, and build a record of meaningful community engagement. Members gain priority access to volunteer opportunities such as AP science tutoring, exam review sessions, and outreach events, along with mentorship from experienced peers and faculty partners. Participation in SEN also helps members grow a professional network in education, science, and health related fields while building a strong service profile for future applications.
