A student chapter of the state-wide Arkansas Native Plant Society that serves to promote the preservation, conservation, study, and enjoyment of the native plants of Arkansas and the education of the university community and public regarding the value of native plants and their habitats through the use of community events, educational programs, and volunteer activities.
To facilitate undergraduate and graduate interest and educational opportunities in the preservation, conservation, study, and enjoyment of the native plants of Arkansas. To promote the education of the public regarding the value of Arkansas’s native plants and their habitats. To develop a membership familiar with the plants both native and non-native to Arkansas. To encourage and maintain the highest standards of professional development and scholarship. To provide a forum for communication among individual members locally and with other like-minded student and state groups and the Parent Society.
