About Us
The Florals Project (TFP) is a student-led organization dedicated to spreading comfort and hope to cancer patients in our community. Our mission is to create, collect, and donate handmade floral-themed blankets to local facilities including cancer treatment centers, hospitals, and resource centers. These blankets provide a safe, meaningful alternative to real flowers for patients undergoing chemotherapy, who often cannot have fresh flowers in their rooms due to infection risk. Through TFP, University of Arkansas students come together to make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing one of life's most challenging battles. Each handmade blanket represents hours of care and serves as a reminder to patients that they are seen, valued, and supported by their community. Our organization unites the college campus in a creative and meaningful way, channeling student energy and compassion into delivering handmade warmth to those who need it most. The Florals Project welcomes all University of Arkansas students and provides opportunities for members to develop crafting skills, build community partnerships, engage in meaningful service work, and directly impact the lives of cancer patients in our area. Whether members are experienced crafters or complete beginners, TFP offers a supportive environment where everyone can contribute to our mission of providing comfort during treatment.
