The purpose of the IBO is two-fold: 1) To promote and cultivate a greater understanding/interest in all the aspects of the vast Bolivian culture, through the various cultural events made available by the University of Arkansas; and 2) To foster living community that is supportive and actively involved in the cultural, social, educational and recreational development of student body.
Membership in the International Bolivian Organization (IBO) offers students a unique opportunity to engage more deeply with campus life while fostering a strong sense of community. Members benefit from cultural immersion in Bolivian traditions, bilingual support, and meaningful connections with fellow students who share an interest in Latin American heritage. The organization provides special access to events, leadership development opportunities, and involvement in planning and executing cultural programming. Additionally, members enjoy exclusive perks such as traditional cuisine and participation in enriching social, educational, and recreational activities that promote cross-cultural understanding.
