Boxing Club

About Us

The University of Arkansas Boxing Club is a recreational and technical boxing club. This means that we teach the technique, form, and mindset needed for our members to grow as martial artists and drill targeted exercises to make sure they can go the distance. Our club is open to all levels of skill and commitment, and we put our members' safety first.
For more information regarding the club, as well as updates from our club officers, we encourage everyone interested to join our GroupMe through the link below.

We have experience an influx of bot account joining the group recently, and have thus temporarily removed the link to our GroupMe. To receive the link, please email me at hsgreene@uark.edu.

Looking To Join?

If you're interested in joining the University of Arkansas Boxing Club, the process is simple. All you need to do is show up to one of our practices! Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9 PM in Studio 216 of the HPER.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do I need to bring to practice?

We provide jump ropes, headgear, and gloves, so you don't need to bring anything to your first few practices. However, if you are interested in sparring, you will need to purchase 180" wrist wraps and a mouthguard.

2. Do I need to have prior boxing knowledge?

Not at all! Most of our members are completely new to the sport, and we teach from the ground up. On your first day, we'll teach you the basics of form and technique, and then allow you to join the drills and exercise alongside everyone else!

3. Do I need to notify anyone if I can't make it to practice?

If you can't make it to a practice, no need to inform anyone. We know that every member is a student first and foremost, and that not everyone has the time to attend practice.
