Partners for Better Housing is a local non-profit that is endeavoring to build quality workforce housing and facilitate upward mobility for modest and moderate-income families in NWA. Are you interested in a philanthropic career? There is a new course coming to the U of A this fall called Strategic Philanthropy! This is a course that teaches students some best practices in philanthropy and allows them to give away tens of thousands of dollars at the end of the semester. Are you looking for a class to help you develop professionally? The office of Academic Integrity has an internship course for the Fall 2024 semester. This course provides career development opportunities for students in support of various university programs or departments. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, social media management, content creation, public speaking, and/or event planning. More information can be found here.
Professional German is a course coming this Fall 2024 to the U of A! This course is project based and will include things like resume writing and mock interviews in German. It will also include case studies...including one on the German chocolatier Ritter Sport, which happens to be a phenomenal example of a family-owned business with vertical integration and a real commitment to work-life balance and sustainability.
