THE 360 PROGRAM newsletter 5 OCTOBER 2026
Welcome to the official newsletter of the 360 Program, delivered through HogSync, to give you updates on our events, as well as other great campus-wide opportunities. We'll also feature a 360 student each week, recommend a resource, and incorporate a Peer Mentor Q&A to make sure everyone has the chance to receive their valuable insight!

Our 360 Student Spotlight

Camryn Lee is a freshman majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders! She's from Flower Mound, Texas, and her favorite place there is Dutch Bros (plus she loves the shopping.) She says the best part of being at the University of Arkansas so far is that it's pretty and the weather is nice. Her major goal this semester is to keep her GPA high and get everything ready to apply to the speech pathology program in January. She's currently a member of the Speech Pathology Club. When asked what advice she'd give her first-week self, she said, "Bring water everywhere because of the heat." Even in October, this is sage advice!

Jami's Resource of the Week

The Multicultural Center is a student-centered intersectional space that affirms difference and explores shared humanity through cultural celebrations, visual and performing arts events, educational forums, mentoring, and partnerships that build and nurture community. The MC welcomes all students and work to engage and empower them in the direction of their dreams! There are a ton of great Hispanic Heritage Month events happening over there—attend and soak it up while you can, as Hispanic Heritage Month ends October 15th!

Located in the Multicultural Center is the College Access Initiative, which facilitates college readiness workshops and programming. Likewise there's a kitchen with a microwave that you can use—just make sure to clean up after yourself!

"I am probably most excited for Halloween and fall break. For fall break, I'm going to Nashville for a little road trip. And I'm going apple picking and to pumpkin patches."

If you are looking for all the fall festivities, Rivercrest Orchard is the perfect place. Their Fall Festival will be held until November 1st; click this link to learn more!

"I’m definitely most excited for basketball season to start up again. There’s also some really good concerts coming to the area in the next couple of months!"

Speaking of concerts, the Springtime of Youth Festival is happening Oct. 24th at the Baum Walker parking lot. Did I mention it's free for all students? Click this link for the Headliners Concert Committee Instagram, where you can stay updated with the details!

"I am so excited for the Dogtoberfest. I want to see all the activities, spend some money, and enjoy the fall weather."

Although Dogtoberfest took place on October 4th, plenty of dog-related Halloween events are still happening. Like the 9th Annual Howling Halloween Dog Walk and 5K is held on October 17th from 8-11 AM. As always, click this link to find more details!
