Hey Honors Scholars! It’s research week here at the Honors College. 🧪 Are you interested in starting a research project but unsure of where to start? Have you done research but don’t know how to transform it into your thesis? Our honors students have resources for you! Read Megan Taylor's blog on how to find research opportunities and Stephen Pierson's tips for starting your thesis to gain insight, and while you're at it, make sure to attend our events below!
This session is a great intro into the required honors research experience, perfect for freshmen, sophomores, or juniors who want to know how to get started.
Join us for pizza on the Hotz Patio and hear faculty from different colleges and departments talk about their own research and how you can get involved in research!
Futures Hub staff are coming to Hotz Hall! We’ll be set up across from the music room on Thursdays from 9 – 10 am. Stop by to chat, ask questions or grab coffee and a snack.
Choosing a research mentor doesn’t need to be scary! Dr. Hodge will cover guidelines for who can be your mentor, as well as tips on finding prospective mentors and how to approach them.
Developing a research topic is one of the first steps in your honors research. Join Dr. Hodge for a quick intro to how to find and develop topic ideas!
Join us at Recess to have your SURF grant reviewed, meet some senior Honors students who are finishing up their thesis research, and grab some coffee, cinnamon rolls, and donuts!

The Venture Internship Program through the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is taking applications through October 20th. These internships are great for all majors. More information is available here.
