Four weeks. That’s all that stands between you and the close of the 2025–26 academic year, save for a brief but spirited finale of exams, papers and deadlines that suddenly feel very real.
The end is in sight, even if the work insists otherwise.Your trajectory is set and your lines of communication are open. As you make these final passes, remember that your support team stands ready to assist with last-minute questions, checklists and the occasional existential wobble.
Proceed to launch, and may your deadlines be firm and your coffee stronger.

Futures Hub staff are coming to Hotz Hall! We’ll be set up across from the music room on Thursdays from 9 – 10 am. Stop by to chat, ask questions or grab coffee and a snack.
The College Access Initiative (CAI) is now hiring 2026 Program Mentors for their annual ACT Academy and Jump Start programs. Program Mentor Staff will work in conjunction with the professional staff of the CAI to facilitate programs with high school students during residential summer programs and academic year activities. CAI’s programs are designed to support prospective college students as they engage with University of Arkansas faculty, staff, and students. The Associated Student Government will soon open applications for all students interested in joining the Cabinet, Judicial, and OFA branches. ASG represents the voice of students on campus, working with university leadership to improve student life and support initiatives across the university. These positions offer a great opportunity to get involved, develop leadership skills, and make a real impact in the campus community. Students from all majors and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Office of Nationally Competitive Awards: Are you interested in teaching English abroad, pursuing graduate study in a different country, or conducting an independent research or arts project in one of more than 140 countries worldwide? The Office of Nationally Competitive Awards will host two informational sessions on the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, featuring a Q&A with Gabby Vatthanatham, an honors alumna who was a Fulbright ETA last year!

Field Trip!! The School of Art has partnered with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art to offer up to two free tickets to the current exhibition, America 250: Common Threads — on view now through July 27, 2026. Tickets can be reserved with the code HOGS on the museum's site. Learn more in the news story here. The exhibition commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, exploring 250 years of American art and civic life through paintings, textiles, historic documents, photographs, and quilts. The School of Art is also offering transportation funding for U of A members to visit the museum. Submit a request here.
Grad school search help: The National Name Exchange (NNE) coordinated by the Council of Graduate Schools, is a free and easy way for students to explore grad school opportunities across the country without having to search for them on their own. By signing up, students create a profile that is shared with hundreds of graduate programs actively looking to recruit talented students. Students will receive personalized outreach from universities, learn about fully funded graduate programs, discover fellowships and scholarship opportunities, and get connected to resources that help make graduate school more accessible and affordable.
