The Multicultural Center invites you to view Anhell69, an award-winning film depicting the lives of queer youth in present-day Colombia. Read more about the film below:

An exploration of a film that was never made, Son of Sodom served as both the director’s eulogy for its would-be star Camilo Najar — who tragically died of a heroin overdose a week after being cast — and the genesis to a more in-depth exploration a “no-future generation” of LGBTQ+ people in Anhell69.

Weaving a dazzling tapestry of young queer life in the director’s hometown of Medellín, Colombia, alongside the ever-present phantoms that haunt the streets, director Theo Montoya seeks to capture a vibrant community of young artists whose futures in the oppressive and violent city feel elusive but whose aspirations are irrepressible. Certain to remain in your mind long after the credits roll, this mystical and unforgettable exploration of Medellín’s queer voices ultimately finds life and inspiration through their stories, their dreams, and their memories.
