September 15 marks the official beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States and coincides with the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries. Join the Multicultural Center as we formally open a month dedicated to celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latin American communities.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to gather for an evening of community, reflection, and celebration as we recognize the significance of this day and look ahead to the programs, conversations, and experiences that will unfold throughout the month. Learn about the origins of Hispanic Heritage Month, discover why September 15 holds special meaning across the Americas, and explore how the diverse histories of Hispanic communities continue to shape our shared present.
