Group membership includes access to card making and gift bag assembly events, bake sales, visiting hospice patients as well as residents at nursing homes on a regular basis, as well as partaking in group activities at the nursing home.
We are the local chapter of JoyCentric Org, a 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to spread joy to cancer patients, those on hospice, and the elderly. This involves organizing group events, as well as one-on-one social visits, to patients and residents, as well as creating cards and goodie bags for them and the staff.
Membership dues for the whole year are $15. 100% of dues go towards the materials for the goodie bags, group activities with patients, and personalized cards
We are open to all backgrounds! And if you're a pre-health major, we've been told by former members in med school that the admissions committee loved the work they did at JoyCentric!

Opportunity to create cards and care packages for patients at cancer centers. Members will also have opportunities to attend group activities at nursing homes and be paired with residents for regular social visits. We rely on membership dues to fund our operations: $15 for the whole academic year, or for those joining in the late half of the semester, $10 for the Spring semester.
