Mission
Women in Medicine is a medical society for women at the University of Arkansas committed to discussing gender stereotypes and equality in the medical field. Women in Medicine strives to provide skills and knowledge for women necessary to enter their desired field. WIM will monitor the status of women in medicine and science at the University of Arkansas in order to ensure equality of participation, professional advancement, and compensation. Strong women in medicine will inspire these young women at the University of Arkansas as role models to share their success and knowledge as a woman in the medical field. Finally, WIM will promote excellence in health care, education and research in women's health.

Membership Benefits
Members are invited from across campus majors, departments, and pre-health professions. Members have the opportunity for community building with other pre-health female students and mentors, as well as opportunities for engagement in community service and academic/medical panels from professionals across the community. Additionally, membership is free and accessible to all who wish to join.
