The Division of Student Affairs will be hosting four Town Halls this semester.

WHY/PURPOSE:
• Intentional engagement of a larger and wider group of students
• Opportunity to demonstrate and share in-progress and future plans related to student access, well-being, belonging, and post-graduation success
• Learn student concerns, opportunities, challenges, celebrations, and identify campus solutions

FORMAT:
• 5:00-5:45 p.m. Dinner and Welcome (45 minutes)
• 5:45-6:00 p.m. Introduction of Panelists and Overview (15 minutes)
• 6:00-7:00 p.m. Q&A with Students and Panelists (60 minutes)

This Town Hall will center the conversation on the university’s commitment to fostering a holistic environment where every student can thrive academically and personally. The discussion will bridge the gap between academic achievement and essential support services, featuring leadership from Academic Affairs and the Division of Student Affairs.

Panelists will include Provost Indrajeet Chaubey, Monica Holland, Associate Vice Chancellor/Dean of Students, Laura James, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Support, and Andrea Allan, Director for UA Cares, where they could touch on the following key topics:

• Integrated Success Strategies: the university's strategic approach to academic persistence, highlighting resources available through various initiatives and campus departments.
• Holistic Support: the "case management" model used to assist students facing significant life hurdles—including, but not limited to, food insecurity, medical emergencies, and/or housing instability—and how to access support.
• Student Advocacy: the panel's role as advocates, focusing on navigating various campus policies, understanding student rights, and maintaining a safe, inclusive campus culture through campus expectations.
• Nurturing a Culture of Care: how the university identifies students in need of support before a crisis occurs, emphasizing the importance of faculty, staff, community, and peer referrals through the UA Cares reporting system.
