"Seeking Justice" will highlight efforts by the Marshallese people and civil society advocates, as well as recent efforts at the Human Rights Council, to address the devastating and ongoing consequences of nuclear weapons tests on Marshallese bodies and lands. The Marshall Islands was subjected to 67 high yield nuclear weapons' tests from 1946-58.

Workshop speakers will address the historic and intergenerational trauma that affects the health, culture, and environment of Marshallese living in the Islands and in diaspora, the newly signed Compact of Free Association, and recent efforts at the Human Rights Council to address the human rights implications of the nuclear legacy and seek transitional justice. The presentation will be followed a small group breakout session for attendees to discuss and identify ways they can help nuclear frontline communities achieve justice.
