Details
Date: April 28th 2025
Doors Open: 6:30 PM | Show Starts: 7:00 PM
Location: Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom
This immersive experience will feature original designs from talented student designers within the UARK community, alongside work from outside designers formerly affiliated with INTERFORM. The show will explore the intersectional history of denim and labor, highlighted through a partnership with the Multicultural Center’s Indigo photoshoot.
In addition to the runway, the event will showcase art installations from UARK students and community members, offering a visual exploration of themes surrounding community, resistance, and healing. A student-produced documentary will also premiere, capturing the process of creating the show and providing insight into the significance of Denim Day and its roots in the fight against victim-blaming.
This event is more than just a fashion show, it’s a space for meaningful and lasting conversations about sexual violence prevention, healing, and community. Light refreshments will be served, and attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artists and designers. Open to all members of the UARK and broader Fayetteville community, come celebrate the resilience of survivors and the power of creative expression.
