Trio Takeover Day

TRIO Takeover Day is a special opportunity for former TRIO Talent Search and Upward Bound students to reconnect with their TRIO roots while building new connections with the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) staff as they transition into college. This event is designed to strengthen relationships across TRIO programs and provide a supportive bridge from pre-college services to TRIO SSS.
Students will have the opportunity to meet and engage with TRIO SSS staff, reconnect with TRIO Talent Search and Upward Bound staff, and learn about the academic, personal, and professional support services available through TRIO SSS. This intentional space allows students to see the continuity of TRIO programming and feel supported by familiar and new staff members.
The event will include free lunch (pink sheet for union food court), snacks, and TRIO swag for students to enjoy. Following the main session, students from Talent Search and Upward Bound will participate in a lunch gathering where they can formally introduce themselves, reconnect with TRIO TS and UB staff, and continue building relationships with the TRIO SSS team in a relaxed setting.
TRIO Takeover Day reinforces TRIO’s mission by celebrating student growth, honoring existing connections, and supporting student success through collaboration across TRIO programs.
