On behalf of the Office of Transition Programs & Initiatives, congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

We know you have worked hard to get to this point, and we want to celebrate with you and your loved ones! We will be hosting a Graduating First-Generation Student Celebration on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Verizon Ballroom, located on the 5th floor of the Arkansas Union (ARKU). Remarks from special guests will begin at 9:30am.

Students will receive a special "First-Generation" stole to wear at commencement ceremonies. Refreshments will be provided along with free swag for students and family members.

Because this is a catered event, RSVP is required by 5:00pm on Friday, May 1.
