Avant Guard's purpose is to create an environment that supports all color guard members within the University of Arkansas and to expand knowledge and talent levels.

Membership Benefits
Avant Guard shall aim to inspire members to achieve their highest athletic, artistic, and creative abilities while promoting the growth of performing arts, expanding knowledge and skill levels through the use of flags, sabers, and rifles, as well as dance and other interpretive movements.
