Sigma Tau Delta's (STD) goals and mission will be to 1. It shall be the purpose of Sigma Tau Delta to promote a community of honors students who are especially dedicated to the advancement of literacy, literacy studies, and creative writing. 2. It shall be the mission of _Sigma Tau Delta to encourage student involvement in the intellectual activities of the English Department in particular and of the university community at large. 3. It shall be the belief of Sigma Tau Delta that advancing the study of the English language and of Anglophone literature is one of the most fundamental missions of an American university.
