What Were You Wearing is an art exhibit featuring clothing and stories from sexual assault survivors.  Some of this content may be difficult or uncomfortable to read.

The hope is that viewers will see this and understand that sexual assault is not about choices or actions made by the victim, and that victims are not to blame for the actions of their abuser.

What Were You Wearing was founded at the University of Arkansas by Jen Brockman and Dr. Mary Wyandt-Hiebert.  Brockman is now the director for Kansas University's Sexual Assault Prevention and Education Center.  Wyandt-Hiebert is now the director for the University of Arkansas's Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center.  The exhibit has been duplicated or recreated in every state in the US, and 38 countries.
