The Distinguished Lectures Committee (DLC) decides which dynamic and pertinent speakers to bring to the University of Arkansas campus. These speaking engagements are completely free to all students. Some of the speakers brought over the past few years have been President George H.W. Bush, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, soccer star Abby Wambach, author Malcolm Gladwell, Jane Goodall, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Elie Wiesel, Bill Nye, and John Legend.

The University of Arkansas Headliner Concerts Committee is a student-run and student fee based organization that hosts large concert events on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, Arkansas including the Springtime of Youth music festival.

Hill Magazine is an annual publication of literary, in-depth journalism, created in 2009. It is published each fall by students. All reporters and staff members are current students at the University, covering subjects of interest to the local community, and the student body.

The eclectic radio destination of the Ozarks.

KXUA 88.3-FM is fully managed and operated by students providing the opportunity to participate in radio broadcasting in a professional atmosphere. Eclectic mix of music half chosen by a board of students, half by the DJ on duty airs from 6am to 6pm weekdays. Specialty and genre specific shows air after 6 and on weekends, programmed by specific student DJs for each show.

Main Hill Media is a student-run advertising agency that was formed in 2017. The agency’s goal is to help our clients establish a message and connect to their target audiences. We provide connections by selling advertisements in other student media outlets.

Your Student Activity Fee is allocated through Associated Student Government to Registered Student Organizations to cover costs related to conference attendance, special events/programs, and office supplies for RSOs. The Financial Affairs Board meets on a weekly basis to review and approve proposals. The nine-member board is chaired by the ASG Treasurer. Any RSO can request funding. The corresponding pages include the Standing Rules and documents RSOs need to request funding.

It is highly encouraged students read over the standing rules and funding guide before submitting a budget. These documents will be beneficial in understanding the Office of Financial Affairs rules and the budget submission process.

The Razorback Yearbook is managed by a student staff directed by the yearbook editor. The book is published once a year. The staff works to design and write the content, meeting regular deadlines with the publisher over the course of several months. The Razorback published its 100th edition in 1998 and is a perennial powerhouse that frequently wins national awards for design, content, reporting, photograph, writing, and overall quality.

UATV is a 24-hour a day, year-round station, with student-produced news, sports, entertainment, public affairs programs, and documentaries. During the school year, the station airs nightly newscasts Monday through Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on social media and Cox Channel 214.

University Programs (UP) is a volunteer student organization responsible for coordinating and planning over 100 events annually for the campus community. University Programs provides UA students with cultural, educational, recreational, and entertainment experiences. Eight committees along with committee chairs and their executive officers select, schedule, and produce events such as concerts, movies, lectures, fine arts performances, and gallery exhibits. University Programs provides excellent opportunities to develop leadership skills and to gain practical experience in a variety of areas.
