This event will introduce students, faculty, and the broader community to innovative, inclusive approaches to language learning through analog games, role-playing, and narrative design. Participants will gain hands-on experience with game-based tools that reduce anxiety, encourage experimentation, and bring cultural learning to life.

The event will begin with a public lecture in which the speaker presents the educational value of analog games, including board games, card games, social games, and tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), in language and culture courses. The presentation will outline current research, practical classroom applications, and the ways embodied, interactive learning can support both novice and advanced language learners.
