Hello Hort Club! ๐ฟ
After a week of regrouping and team building, our council is ready to go for the last stretch of the semester! We’re so sorry for all of the recent cancellations and are working to communicate with you as clearly and consistently as possible.
We have some exciting things coming up this month! Our last plant sale of the semester will be on Thursday, November 21st, from 8 AM to 2 PM at Union Square. Our Event Committee, along with Treasurer Brianna Bailey and Social Chair Cooper Bull, are working hard to make this our best sale yet!
Before then, we’ll be taking a CAFF trip to Dripping Springs Gardens on Saturday, November 9th, from 3–6 PM, where we’ll get to learn about sustainable growing practices and tour one of the most beautiful farms in the area.
We’ll also be hosting our Plant Luck this coming Monday at 5:30 PM, and we can’t wait to see everyone’s favorite plants that they bring to share! From giant monsteras to tiny orchids, we want to see them all.
Our competition team will also be heading back to the herbarium soon to continue preparing for our January competition in Kentucky — a huge thank-you to Jennifer Ogle for all her help and guidance!
To round out the month, we’ll be touring the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks on Sunday, November 17th, and hope to see as many of you there as possible. If you’d like to come, please let us know on the GroupMe!
Thank you to everyone who has attended our events recently — your participation and enthusiasm mean so much. We’re looking forward to ending the semester with a bang!
