Mission The UARK Horsemanship Club is a club designed for people who haven't had the opportunity to be around or work with horses. In order to be in most of the horse classes at the university, you need to be in ANSC. This club is for ANSC and any other majors to offer the opportunity to live out your horse dreams. We will be learning safety, behaviors, horsemanship things such as grooming, cleaning, tacking, riding, owning horses, owning ranches, the entire horse industry from western to English.
Membership BenefitsMembers gain opportunities to improve their riding, handling, and overall horse care skills through hands-on experience, clinics, and workshops led by knowledgeable trainers and professionals. This club also provides a strong sense of community, bringing together people who share a passion for horses and creating space to build friendships, mentorships, and valuable connections. In addition, members often gain access to helpful resources such as educational materials, expert guidance, and sometimes even shared facilities like arenas or barns.Beyond horsemanship skills, our club club fosters leadership and personal growth by giving members opportunities to take on officer roles, organize events, and practice teamwork and communication. Many also participate in community service, such as volunteering at local rescues, therapeutic riding centers, or outreach programs that promote responsible horse care. Of course, horsemanship clubs are also about having fun—whether through group trail rides, barn socials, or horse-themed activities, members enjoy a supportive and welcoming environment to share their love of horses while learning and growing together.
