Mission The purpose of BLSA is to: a. Articulate and promote the professional needs and goals to Black Law Students attending the University of Arkansas; b. Foster and encourage professional competence; c. Focus upon the relationship of the Black attorney to the American legal system; d. Work as a viable student organization within the University of Arkansas organizational structure; e. Instill in the Black attorney and law student a greater awareness of commitment to the needs of the Black community; f. Influence the legal community to bring about meaningful charge to meet the needs of the Black community; and g. Do all things necessary and lawful to accomplish these purposes.
