Come explore one of the foundational technologies behind augmented reality: marker tracking. In this hands-on session hosted by XR @ Arkansas, we’ll introduce how image-based tracking works and how it’s used to anchor digital content to real-world objects.

You’ll learn how to create your own trackable markers, set up a simple AR scene using tools like Unity and a marker tracking library or platform, and see how this technique is used in industries ranging from education to engineering and art.

No prior experience is necessary. Whether you’re new to XR or looking to expand your skill set, this session will give you a practical introduction to one of the core methods of creating interactive and responsive AR experiences.
