Want to jump into Virtual Reality without dropping hundreds of dollars on a high-end headset? Join XR at Arkansas for an interactive, hands-on workshop dedicated to the accessible world of mobile VR.

We'll dive into Google Cardboard to explore how everyday smartphone hardware, split-screen optics, and spatial head tracking come together to create immersive experiences right from your pocket. During the session, you will assemble your own headset to take home, test out mobile VR applications, and learn the basic software principles behind building your own entry-level XR projects in Unity.

Whether you are a CS major curious about spatial computing or a student just wanting to try out VR for the first time, this event offers the perfect launchpad into extended reality. We provide all cardboard kits and testing materials, so just bring yourself and your smartphone.
